What's New in Campfire: August 2025

Aug 7, 2025

In this release: align virtual content with the real world using scene anchors! Plus: threads, @ mentions, isolate parts or models, and hand visibility.

Keep scrolling for more info, or see the full release notes here.

Scene Anchors

Scene anchors let you precisely position Campfire content in the real world.

Use scene anchors to align virtual models with physical objects, like overlaying work instructions on real machinery or visualizing vehicle interiors on a buck.

You can also use scene anchors for in-room collaboration, so everyone sees models in the same position — even across different device types.

Just place an anchor in your scene, print and place a marker in your physical environment, and scan it on Quest or iPad. Campfire takes care of the rest!

Visit the scene anchors support page for more details. Or, watch the scene anchor tutorial videos on aligning virtual models with objects and in-room collaboration.

Available on PC, Mac, iPad, and Quest with an Enterprise plan.

Threads and @ Mentions

Keep your conversations organized with threaded replies and @ mentions. You can now reply directly to any annotation and tag other users in comments or replies.

Available on all devices.

Isolate

Right-click on any part or model and select Isolate to instantly hide everything else in the scene, so you can focus on a specific item.

See the isolate support page for more info.

Available on PC and Mac.

Hand Visibility

Now you can see your hands when using Campfire on Quest. Hand visibility is turned on by default, making it even easier and more natural to interact in XR.

Available on Quest 3 and 3S.
